For three weekends this September, LIZZ ROMAN & DANCERS will share with the audience their latest architectural exploration, This Beautiful Space "DANCING@CIVICORPS". LR&D's newest work takes the performers and audience on a journey through the CIVICCORPS Job Training Center at 1425 5th street in Oakland. Audience size is limited.

LIZZ ROMAN & DANCERS' latest architectural exploration, journeys through the multileveled expanse of the CIVICCORPS Center, opposite the West Oakland BART station. The rhythmic forms of dancers' bodies vibrate with the structural elements of the building--utilizing stairs, railings, ladders, hallways, alcoves, and rooftops. The performance unfolds amidst a sonic environment of music composed and performed live by the band Watersaw. In This Beautiful Space "DANCING @ CIVICORPS," audience will be led through this unique building to witness what the performers and the space have to offer.
